Magpie Mine is one of the few remaining partially intact lead minesleft in the High Peak of Derbyshire. The site is under the custodianship of the Peak District Mines Historical Society.

Remnants of the Cornish Engine House and later workings can be visited free of charge. Please respect the site and close any gates The surrounding area is actively farmed. There's an excellent pub in the nearby village of Sheldon for refreshments!!
