After about 12 years since I took my first panorama of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, I have managed my first aerial shot after the third attempt and in less than ideal flying conditions. Its a start !!

Spanning the River Dee at over 1000 feet long, at an approx height of 130 feet, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct connects the two Welsh towns of Trevor and Froncysyllte. It is the longest and highest cast iron aqueduct in the world, designed by Thomas Telford. Construction started in 1795 and it was opened on 26th November 1805. In 2003/04 it underwent major engineering works to preserve its structural integrity. It is classed as a Grade 1 listed building and is commonly referred to as one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways.
