2nd -4th August 2006 Having a week off work, big mistake not very good KAP weather at all. Went to Anderton and Andy Whitehouse of British Waterways kindly allowed me to photograph the Lift. The conditions were not ideal. I was unable to fly close to the Lift because of wind direction and being able to position myself. Furthermore the quality of the images are terrible. I have yet to find the correct setting using the fish-eye. Flew at Bosley in the afternoon. Got off to a good start and then disaster struck. While dismounting the camera the kite took a dive from I suspect overflying, making a beeline for the nearest oak tree. After trying all the usual tricks I resorted to applying brute force and ignorance, to great effect and the kite was recovered intact. Moved further up the flight and started flying again much to the amazement of boaters and walkers who had witnessed the previous incident.
1st August 2006. Information finally appearing on pages along with full screen panoramas. The weekends flying such that it was had to be abandoned. Its a pity as the gardens at Tamworth Castle were ablaze with colour.
